#What is a Hybrid formula? / +Our Gorilla Grab & Seal is the first offering in our Gorilla product range which is both a grab adhesive and sealant in one product. It is the perfect two-in-one solution for bonding and sealing, giving you the strength and toughness of a grab adhesive, with the flexibility and mould-resistant properties of a sealant. It can be used as a grab adhesive (glue for skirting boards, panelling etc) as well as a sealant (sealing a kitchen sink or shower).

#Does Gorilla Grab & Seal require a cartridge gun? / +Yes, in order to dispense product, the cartridge must be inserted into a cartridge gun. Ahead of use, cut off the seal at the top of the cartridge above the screw thread. Screw on the nozzle, remove cap, and then cut the nozzle to the desired bead size using the guides on the nozzle for reference. Insert cartridge into cartridge gun and then squeeze product onto one surface in a zig-zag pattern.

#Is Gorilla Grab & Seal food safe? / +We do not recommend bringing food into contact, either directly or indirectly, with cured or uncured Gorilla Glue Products.

#Do I need to clamp surfaces together when using Gorilla Grab & Seal? / +No, Gorilla Grab & Seal does not require mechanical clamping to aid the curing process. When product has been applied, press surfaces together and hold for 20-60 seconds. Temporary support and mechanical fastening may be required for heavy items, to support them during the curing process.

#How do I remove Gorilla Grab & Seal from my surface? / +Remove any wet adhesive immediately with a dry cloth. Alcohol or mineral spirits may be used. Make sure to follow solvent manufacturer’s directions and always test an inconspicuous area to ensure that surface or finish is not damaged. To clean up dried adhesive, you can use mechanical means such as sanding, scraping or chiselling.

#How do I remove Gorilla Grab & Seal from my skin? / +To remove Gorilla Grab & Seal from skin, wash the area thoroughly with soap and warm water, as quickly as possible. Keep skin moisturised, using moisturiser liberally. Dried adhesive may take several days to wear off.

#What is the temperature range of Gorilla Grab & Seal? / +Gorilla Grab & Seal can be applied between -40°C to 37°C (-40F to 100F). Once cured Gorilla Grab & Seal can hold strong between -40°C to 93°C (-40F to 200F).

#Does Gorilla Grab & Seal have gap filling properties? / +Yes, Gorilla Grab & Seal does have gap-filling properties. For gaps larger than 12mm, use a backer rod to fill the gap.

#What finishing options are there once Gorilla Grab & Seal has cured? / +Gorilla Grab & Seal can be painted after 30 minutes, and is sandable, stainable, drillable and tapable after 24 hours.

#What is the open working time for Gorilla Grab & Seal? / +The open working time for Gorilla Grab & Seal is 20-30 minutes. Cured product can be exposed to water after 30 minutes. Full cure will take at least 24 hours.

#Will Gorilla Grab & Seal bond plastic/rubber? / +Gorilla Grab & Seal will work well on many types of plastic; however, we do not recommend for use on polyethylene (PE), polypropylene (PP) or any type of rubber with high oil or plasticiser content. It also will not work on bitumen or non-stick surfaces. #Is Gorilla Grab & Seal Reusable? / +Yes, Gorilla Grab & Seal is reusable. Before storing, ensure any excess adhesive has been removed from the nozzle surface with a dry cloth, then replace the cap tightly to prevent adhesive from curing within the cartridge. Do not remove nozzle. Store in a cool, dry place, away from children and animals. To reuse, unscrew nozzle and clean out cured product.

#Can Gorilla Grab & Seal be used on wet surfaces/underwater? / +Gorilla Grab & Seal is 100% waterproof, and can be used on wet surfaces and underwater. Once applied, it can be exposed to water in 30 minutes. As this product has not been tested for toxicity to fish/plants/animals, we would not recommend its use inside aquariums or ponds.

#What is Gorilla Grab & Seal best used on? / +Gorilla Grab & Seal hybrid is best used for: Wood: Creates a strong, waterproof bond to wood types, from soft pine to hardwoods. Plaster: Adheres securely to plasterboard and traditional plaster, filling cracks and gaps. For gaps larger than 12mm, use a backer rod to fill the gap. Tiles (Ceramic/Porcelain): Can be used for small repairs/affixes on tiles. Glass: Bonds glass panes together with flexible adhesion that resists shrinking or cracking. Laminate: Seals and bonds laminate countertops and flooring, preventing edge lifting and protect from exposure to moisture. Metal, including stainless steel: Forms a durable seal on metal joints and overlaps. PVC/uPVC: Bonds PVC pipes, frames, and plastic trim sections while providing a seal against water. Stone: Adheres to stone surfaces, sealing seams to prevent water infiltration. Marble/Granite: Provides a seal that won’t crack or shrink on premium stone surfaces.
